Mission of the Madeleine Athletic Club

The Madeleine Athletic Club (MAC) believes that our children's participation in athletics will teach our children the essential virtues of teamwork, commitment, and sportsmanship that will last a lifetime. These virtues will help our children grow healthy physically, intellectually, and emotionally.

The MAC exists for all who want to provide support and guidance to the Madeleine sports programs. The MAC has been in existence for approximately 20 years. The basic goals of the MAC are (1) to ensure that every student has the opportunity to go out for a sport and (2) that adequate coaching, uniforms, venues, and organizations exist for a positive athletic experience.

The MAC is responsible for the on-going maintenance of the grass playing field in the schoolyard, which costs approximately $8,000 annually to maintain. Every year, we are looking for more involved parents to financially help support this effort. Your membership and support will allow all of our children a wonderful venue for physical play and sports programs. Without this financial support, our children will have to play on less than desirable conditions (i.e. dirt), while participating in P.E. and other after school activities.

Our fund raising programs include the membership drive, sales of MAC clothing and accessories, and the annual MAC Golf Tournament. We encourage you to join the MAC and participate in the MAC events to ensure the high quality of our children's sports programs at the School of the Madeleine.
